Located in South Tyrol, Italy, Das Wanda is more than just a boutique guesthouse — it is a quiet conversation about the essence of life. Curated by The Aficionados, the project blends Alpine and Mediterranean cultural elements, creating a calming space with natural materials, minimal lines, and warm tones.
The building retains its original 1960s structure, with a clean and crisp exterior. Inside, timber, lime plaster, and linen reflect a deep respect for nature and the warmth of daily living. The rooms are free of unnecessary decorations — only light, wind, and the shadows of mountains remain, alongside a reverence for time itself.

Das Wanda embraces a slow-paced lifestyle. There are no televisions, nor the intention to overstimulate. Guests may daydream on sun-drenched balconies, bake apple pie in the shared kitchen, or wander through vineyards and along riverbanks. Here, stillness is not emptiness, but a carefully cultivated richness.

This language of space — simple, honest, and sincere — may be what we’ve lost in the haste of modern life. Das Wanda offers a possibility: to return to the body and the spirit, and to rediscover a harmonious rhythm between architecture and nature.
